How to install and use Geany IDE in the Raspberry Pi or Ubuntu?

Step 1: Please confirm that gcc or g++ compiler has been installed in your operation system. If not, Please install it as the following command.

sudo apt-get install gcc
sudo apt-get install g++
Step 2: Install GUI Geany
sudo apt-get install geany
Step 3: Run Geany
sudo geany


Step 4: Configure the IDE

Click Document——>Set Filetype——>Programming Languages——>C source file



Step 5: Set build commands

Click Build——>Set Build Commands




Step 6: Create the first project named my1stPrj




Step 7: Create a C source file named test01.c





Step 8: Write down your code, the save it.




Step 9: Compile the code.





Step 10: Run the program.
