One of the biggest things keeping me from getting into the DIY robot scene is the difficulty in sourcing self-recharging stations -- I'm not super worried about sourcing batteries, but the contact plates and control drivers for recharging the robot safely while online seems to be difficult to procure, either in kit form or plans. I have built the Mars Rover PicCar-B for RasperryPi and am mostly very happy with it. One thing I will change in the assembly is the motor. When using the Mars Rover in-house the movements of the Rover is way to fast and the torque is insufficient if the speed is limited to under 50%. So I am replacing the installed motor JGA25-370 620 rpm with a motor JGA25-370 77 rpm. This motor has a lower speed and a better torque. It does fit in the same assembly.

18650 battery specification: It is recommended to use lithium battery above 3000mAh and without overcurrent protection. The power supply current requirement is above 3A.
