This general situation can be tried to do this:
Is the COM number selected in the Arduino IDE 2560 board?
If the COM number is 2560 board, please try the following
One: restart the computer and try it in the download;
Second: Check if the digital 0 pin and digital 1 pin of the 2560 board are connected to other circuits. If the external circuits are connected to these two pins when downloading the program, the program upload will be affected.

I have been trying to upload a simple sketch but with no luck. The mega 2560 led at pin 13 is on and rx led blinks. The Com Port 3 on computer and on the arduino softwere match. I have reloaded, restart, reinstall com port drivers time and time again. if your product demands me to press the reset button at the correct time every time it does an upload-is not going to happen.
avrdude: stk500v2_ReceiveMessage(): timeout
avrdude: stk500v2_getsync(): timeout communicating with programmer
Need a solution.I'm Using windows 7 32 bit.

Hello,

Pls do not connect anything to the RX TX pin.

ESP8266 should also be removed.
