The kit comes with zero instruction, you have to go to a site and download, unzip the lesson set, fire up the programming environment and then start the lessons. A very small instruction paragraph would make this kit 200% better for the uninitiated. Also, around lesson 12 or so there is an option port address that has to be changed in the software for it to work. I had to do a 24 hour customer service email cycle to learn the answer to make the lesson work.

I believe the kit is well designed and as simple in operation as it could be, a great learning tool that can be built on for real world applications.
