I am trying to assemble RaspTank, I try to set servo's intial position with the motro HAT before assemly started, but the servos did not move after I powered up HAT.
I have servo tester on hand. Can anyone let me know how to set the intial position with servo tester? Is the intial postion at the middle (set pulse at 1500us) ?

I had the same problem, do you have a RC car or plane? Close the servos then they have the neutral position. 2. you first do the setup.py on the raspberry then that works

The initial position is in the middle. Before starting the Raspberry Pi, you need to install the software in the SD card, so that the servo will turn to the middle position after booting.

Hello,

Please refer to these videos:

servos not initializing - we watched all videos.
We installed s/w and putty is working
we get to setup.py...at the very end it says
"can't mkdir //home/pi/.config.....
restarting"

1. What to do about that?

2. What program is supposed to run when we turn on power to raspberry?
Your installation needs ALOT OF IMPROVEMENT! - you have many errors in your instructions!

3. if we manually run serverTest.py, then we see: blue lights blinking very fast and it write the ip address over and over and over...but still none of the servos MOVE?!?!

What program runs when we power up raspberry?????????

We think it is running //home/pi/.config.../car_start which is then trying to run serverTest.py??????!

but what does serverTest.py even do ?????????? You need to explain or provide document for serverTest.py!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Also, can you please provide mapping of servo to pinOut. It's very difficult to know which servo should go to which pin out..you need to provide easy table to show us!

I downloaded an older version of Raspbian os from http://downloads.raspberrypi.org ... aspbian-2018-04-19/

If you will look at the images in the instructions it is from the older versions.

There is a post in Raspberry website that says they are working on a opencv-python for buster.

It seemed to installed mostly correctly. One error with the hashes but i think it went ahead and installed everything.

Here is the forum about opencv in buster

My robot works and connects using the setup script. Yes I have to take it apart and zero postion the servos and put it back together cause I got in a hurry but not Adeept fault mine for not following directions.

People do some research before you just down someones throat. They give you screens shots of what they used. Technology advances quiuckly and it is hard to keep up when you have alot of things going.
