I used port forwarding on my router to open and direct port 5000 so that I could control the Rasptank remotely. The page is displayed and i can see the video, but none of the controls work and it keeps disconnecting. Anybody tried this?

It may be due to insufficient power (or insufficient power). It is recommended to choose an 18650 battery with "high rate discharge" or an 18650 battery with a maximum output current of at least 4A. You can buy them on Amazon

If I remember it correctly, the direct port 5000 only works for the display signal of your RaspTank and you need to setup another port to control it remotely. Any luck with this?  I'm trying the same thing except I'm using Ngrok, a online tunneling service.  I see the webpage but no video or controls work.  The setup works fine on the local network so it's not a power issue.  Thanks

I've found a way :

forward 3 ports exactly with the same number :
5000=>5000
5900=>5900
8888=>8888

And it works for me !
