I would like to be able to arm/disarm the robot hat so that i can run the pi in server mode without high current drain

also is there any documentation on the robot hat, such that i could learn how to connect other sensors or features such as gps or neopixel

There should be a bunch of python scripts in the /server directory, relatively easily labeled for what they do.
You can modify those or go through the server python script and disable what you want in there as well.
