Hello,
Based on your situation, it may be caused by the following issues. Please check if the following suggestions can help you solve the problem:
Insufficient power: The servo motor may not have enough torque to handle the load on the arm. This may cause it to work harder than necessary, resulting in overheating. May I ask if you are using 18650 batteries to power the robotic arm? If powered through USB, this issue may occur and it is recommended to replace the power supply.
Misalignment: If the arm or other components are not aligned correctly, it may put additional pressure on servo 2, making its work more difficult and potentially causing overheating.
Electrical issues: Electrical connection problems, such as poor wiring or insufficient power supply, may also cause servo overheating. We suggest that you check if the wiring is good, or swap the position of other normally working servo motors with servo 2 to determine if it is a problem with the servo motor itself.
Best!
