Application Scope:
Bosch sensorec bno055 intelligent 9-axis absolute orientation sensor is a system level package (SIP), which integrates a 3-axis 14 bit accelerometer, a 3-axis 16 bit gyroscope with a range of ± 2000 degrees per second, a 3-bit arm cortex M0 + microcontroller running Bosch sensorec sensor fusion software in 32 single packages. The corresponding chipset is integrated into a 28 pin LGA 3.8mm x 5.2mm x 1.1mm housing. In order to achieve the best system integration, bno055 is equipped with digital bidirectional I2C and UART interface. The I2C interface can be programmed to run with hid-i2c protocol, so that bno055 can be turned into a plug and play sensor Hub solution for devices running Windows 8.0 or 8.1 operating system.
